It’s not as simple as just saying, “Just wear it!” Although that will be kind of my point here in the end. Haha.

Here are some little tips and tricks to helping you feel more confident in what you wear! Especially if you really want to wear it. Cause lets be honest… You’ve seen an outfit, and you’ve said, “Oh my gosh, that’s so cute! But I could never pull it off.” Let me tell you something, friend. You CAN, and I’m going to CHALLENGE you!


First of all, you’re never going to know if you like it until you physically find out, right? Don’t just outright tell yourself you couldn’t pull it off. Go try it on before you decide! If after you try it on, and decide you don’t like it, put it back. But don’t judge it before you try it on.
I never thought I would look good in leather. I just told myself it wasn’t me. One day I tried on a leather skirt, just for fun, with no intention to buy it. But it was REALLY CUTE .
Still didn’t buy it, but now I know I can pull off leather, and that’s cool.


It might sound cheesy and silly and obvious, but it’s a good trick. If you tell yourself that you can’t do something, well, that means you can’t do it. But if you keep telling yourself that you can , you’d be surprised how your brain works. It can have a positive or a negative impact on your daily life.
I’ll never forget a customer I had at my first job.

He asked me if I was going to be President one day, and when I said no, he said, “Well why not you?” And I thought about it. I could never do it. I wouldn’t be good at it. After explaining my thoughts, he said again, “But why not you? Why wouldn’t someone choose you, if you decided to do it?” And I didn’t really have an answer. He challenged me to tell myself every day, “Why not me?”

Why do I think I deserve less than someone else? Why can’t I win that gift card giveaway? Why wouldn’t I be able to wear that? WHY NOT ME?

It’s all mental you guys, I’m telling you.


You have to remember when deciding on what styles work best for you, is that it works differently on you than someone else. There are so many different body-types – longer legs, thicker thighs.

Do NOT compare yourself. Styles can still look gorgeous with different body types. So find what you feel works best for you. Don’t try and copy someone else just because you think they look good in it. You’re going to end up disappointed when it looks differently on you. Try different things and you may find something that you like. Find what works for you, not what you think works for everyone else.


You don’t need a new style over night. If you want to, great! But if you’re just learning to feel confident in new things, it’s okay to take it slow. Maybe try one new thing a day, especially if it’s something you thought you’d never do. Like wear your hair in pig tails, or wearing big hoop earrings. Build up to the bigger things you want, like a jumpsuit or cargo pants! (Me…)

It gives you time to decide what works best for you too.


Honestly if it’s not comfortable, it’s not worth it. Pain isn’t always beauty, you guys. You gotta take care of yourself!
I’m not saying you have to dress in a t-shirt and sweatpants every day.
But if you’re feeling tangled or squished, it keeps you from feeling your best. Don’t you feel so good when you’re comfortable? Well you can feel comfortable and gorgeous, okay?
It also helps to have comfortable undergarments. (Speaking from experience….you do NOT want to have to be picking a wedgie all day, or worrying if you have a muffin top because the undies are too tight. Or rib pain from a tight bra. Oi) TMI but it’s TRUE.


It’s not just a saying, it’s true! What’s one thing about you that you feel most confident about right now? Is it your ears? Show off a cute pair of earrings! Maybe your eyes? Find something to wear that makes your eyes pop! Don’t be afraid to hide what you’re confident about! Even if it’s dat booty! Accentuate it, girl!
